O’Connor Hospital is a smoke-free and tobacco-free campus. Smoking is prohibited on all hospital property, including patient rooms, medical office buildings, parking lots, parking structures, curbside waiting areas and surrounding campus grounds.
Smoke-and-tobacco-free refers not only to cigarettes, but also to chewing tobacco, cigars and e-cigarettes. It is our goal to eliminate any secondhand smoke so everyone on our property can breathe clean air. For questions regarding this policy, call (408) 283-7798.
To assist those who want to quit, we have Smoking Prevention and Smoking Cessation resources available through California Smokers’ Help Line at (800) 662-8887. Our patient admission packets also contain a resource list to quit smoking.
