 St. Louise Regional Hospital

Spiritual Care

St. Louise Regional Hospital is dedicated to caring for the whole person and giving patients, their families and loved ones an experience of a safe, listening environment where spiritual, emotional, and physical healing can occur.

Our Spiritual Care team is here to support you and your family. Our Chaplains offer spiritual and emotional support to patients, their families and loved ones, as well as support to our doctors, nurses and staff. We serve all faiths as well as those who do not have a faith preference or belief.

We do not teach, preach, proselytize, give advice or attempt to “fix” personal problems. Our ministry is more challenging: to truly “be with” others in times of suffering as a caring presence.

Other Spiritual Care Services

  • Spiritual needs assessment
  • Prayer
  • Morning reflections

For Catholic Christians

Catholic Christian Volunteers at St. Louise Regional Hospital offer Holy Communion and prayers in English and Spanish for patients and their families in the hospital.

Mass or communion service is celebrated every Tuesday at 11:30AM in the Chapel where all are welcomed.

Pastoral care and the Sacrament of the Sick is provided on Tuesday after the Mass and as needed.

Memorial Services

Chaplains serve our patients and their families regularly with prayer in all stages of life and at the time of death. Memorial services are held upon request.

The last Tuesday of each month is set aside as a Day of Remembrance and prayer to honor all our patients who have died in that month. Families are sent an invitation to be a part of that celebration of life.

Special Volunteers and Religious Leaders

Special volunteers and religious leaders from the local religious communities respond to our request for support as needed and by request. Contact Spiritual Care to arrange a visit.
