Seton Medical Center – First Floor
Surgery is often a step in cancer therapy. Seton has experienced surgeons who provide care for a diverse range of cancer diagnoses. For prostate and gynecologic tumors, for example, surgeons may choose to perform minimally invasive procedures that enhance healing time and reduce the impact on surrounding tissue. Stereotatic technology with computer navigation and CUSA ultrasonic tissue ablation are also available.

At Seton Medical Center, we know the need for ongoing care can be stressful and mentally taxing. For that reason, our outpatient Infusion Center provides each patient with a private, single room. We designed these rooms to create a home-like environment that puts patients and their families at ease.
Our Infusion Center offers a private, relaxing environment for patients requiring a number of different types of infusions, including:
- Blood transfusions
- Hydration and intravenous (IV) therapy
- Bone density injections (for osteoporosis)
Our entire Infusion Center care team is certified in chemotherapy and receives advanced training in the management of chemo infusion drugs. In addition to our trained, specialized nursing staff, the Infusion Center also has its own dedicated physician.
Dedicated Care from a Nurse Navigator
Seton is committed to excellence in patient care. For that reason, we provide a nurse navigator to ensure that patients in our Infusion Center receive the most seamless and personalized level of care possible.
A nurse navigator is a liaison between all patients and their various care needs. The navigator understands each patient’s condition and offers information and education to patients, their families and caregivers.
In addition, a nurse navigator provides:
- Point of contact for each patient from beginning to end during the treatment process
- Reminders about preventive screens
- Patient support to help manage the emotional and physical effects of the disease
